Travel & Stay
Getting There
Recommended Airport: We suggest flying into Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris, which is about two hours from the venue.
Getting to the Venue: Our wedding will take place at Château La Chenevière in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, a small coastal town in the Normandy region.
Train: Traveling to Normandy by train is both efficient and scenic, thanks to France’s high-speed and regional rail systems. The closest station to the venue is Bayeux, but if you plan to rent a car, Caen is the most convenient option.
Rental Car: You can rent a car directly in Paris or take the train to Caen, where rental options are readily available. Renting a car is highly recommended if you plan to explore Normandy before or after the wedding.
Driving Service: If you prefer to hire a driver, we’ll share recommendations for trusted services closer to the date.
Please note: Ubers and other ride-sharing services are not guaranteed in the region, so please keep this in mind when choosing your transportation method. Transportation to and from wedding events will be provided, so no need to worry about getting to the celebrations!
Where to Stay in Normandy
We recommend staying in Bayeux, which is a larger city about 15 minutes from the venue. Here are some options to consider:
Hôtel Reine Mathilde hotel rooms start at €175 per night
Grand Hotel du Luxembourg hotel rooms start at €225 per night
Le Castel - Au Loup Bayeux two properties with individual rooms and group stay options starting at €190 per night

Paris
We’ll be arriving in Paris early on August 1st and staying in the charming Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. Paris holds a special place in our hearts—it’s where we got engaged, and we’re so excited to return.
If you’re planning to spend time in Paris, here are a few of our favorite things to do:
Stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens: A peaceful oasis in the city and perfect for an afternoon walk.
Explore Parisian Flea Markets: Hunting for treasures at the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen or other local flea markets is one of our favorite things to do in the city. You never know what unique finds you’ll come across!
Tour the Louvre Museum: Home to the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and countless other masterpieces, it’s a cultural experience like no other.
Explore Montmartre: Wander the cobblestone streets, visit Sacré-Cœur, and take in breathtaking views of the city.
Visit Sainte-Chapelle: This Gothic chapel is known for its incredible stained glass windows that flood the space with vibrant light.
Normandy
Normandy offers so much to discover, from its rich history to its stunning landscapes. Here are some highlights:
D-Day Beaches: Visit Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery for a moving and historical experience.
Bayeux Tapestry: See the famous medieval tapestry that tells the story of the Norman conquest of England.
Mont-Saint-Michel: A breathtaking island abbey that’s one of France’s most iconic landmarks.
