Is event transportation provided for guests staying off property?
Yes! We’ve arranged shuttle transportation for all guests staying off property. The shuttle will make stops at three nearby locations, so pick-up times may vary slightly depending on your stop. Please refer to the schedule below for approximate pick-up and return times:

  • Welcome Dinner: Pickup at 7:00 PM | Return at 11:00 PM

  • Wedding Day: Pickup at 4:30 PM | Return at 2:00 AM

  • Farewell Brunch: Pickup at 10:30 AM

Is there transportation provided back to Paris after the brunch?
There is no official transportation provided back to Paris. However, the Château concierge can assist in arranging cabs to nearby train or bus stations. If you'd like help organizing group transportation (such as a van or shuttle to CDG or Paris), please reach out to Kim or Madison as soon as possible—we’ve already helped a few groups coordinate this through our preferred transportation company.

Is there transportation to the bridal tea?
Because guests are staying throughout Paris, transportation will not be provided to the bridal tea at the Ritz Paris. However, Ubers are readily available in the city.

EVENT LOGISTICS

When should we arrive for the wedding ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. We recommend arriving a bit early to find your seat and enjoy the prelude music, which will begin playing 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Do we need to stay for the entire brunch?
Not at all! The Farewell Brunch will be served buffet-style, so you’re welcome to come and go as you please. If you’re staying at Château La Chenevière, please plan to check out prior to brunch. All guests are welcome to bring their luggage—the Château will provide storage while you enjoy your meal.

Are the wedding events indoors or outdoors?
The bridal tea will be indoors with garden access from Salon d'Eté. The welcome party will include both indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy. Please note that the property features mixed terrain, including grass and gravel. The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, while dinner and dancing will be held indoors. The farewell brunch will be held indoors.

What are the men doing during the bridal tea? What is everyone doing after the tea?
There is no official event planned for the men during the bridal tea. After the tea, Luke and Madison will be enjoying a private dinner on Thursday evening. Guests are encouraged to continue the celebrations together and make dinner plans in the area if they wish.

ATTIRE & WEATHER

What is the weather like in Normandy?
Normandy tends to be slightly cooler than Paris, with the possibility of chilly evenings. We recommend that ladies bring a wrap or shawl for the welcome night, just in case.

Do men need to wear a tux for the wedding?
No tux required! The dress code is black tie optional. A tuxedo is welcome, but a dark-colored suit is perfectly appropriate.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

What is there to do in the area on the morning or afternoon of the wedding?
Guests are welcome to enjoy the amenities at Château La Chenevière, including the pool, gardens, and bar. For lunch, consider booking a table at the on-site restaurant,
Le Petit Jardin—we recommend making a reservation in advance. To explore more of the region, we suggest visiting the Bayeux Bessin Tourism website for recommendations on local attractions and historical sites. If you don’t have a rental car, the Château can assist with arranging a taxi. Uber is also available in the area, though wait times may be longer due to a limited number of drivers.
